Honey Birch is a British artist, storyteller, and curator who works with film, spatial design, poetry, and creative workshops. Their practice stems from research and collaboration. In their work, Honey explores the boundary between imagined lives and reality, often drawing from their own experiences as a queer, Chinese adoptee in the United Kingdom. Themes such as adoption, identity, loss, humor, and connection play an important role. Honey creates space for stories that are often portrayed too simply or one-dimensionally in the media. By placing conversations and encounters at the center, Honey investigates how people can build new forms of recognition and community together.
