For the sixth edition of our Art Market, we have invited four artists from the North who are part of Club VHDG; a self-organized community of both emerging and professional artists, writers, producers, educators, and cultural workers active in the North.
Read more about the makers below and come drop by for a visit! Someone will always be there, ready to tell you all about the artworks.
Christina Everts
Born on a farm, daughter of the Polish Bride, Christina Everts grew up in the polders of Holland. There where there used to be sea, you now only see green green grass. After a bachelor at Minerva she lived in a Polish wall cubboard [mebloscianka]. She finished her Master at UAP, Poznan with interdisciplinary work about houses and received an honorable mention at ‘Dokowicz’. Her own work extends from the green polder to gray apartment buildings with sentimental memories in the form of candy-colored plastic scattered between them. Follow Christina Everts here!
Jon Metz
J. Metz creates lifesize human figures in, from and with nature. The sculptures arise out of physical struggle with the material: skeletons of wood, reed or iron; shaped with clay or gypsum. Metz is also an art teacher and a guitarist in the band Jcoba and De Weach. Follow Jon Metz here!

Carolien Tiedema
Volg Carolien hier!
